REEL (2,450+ people worldwide) is a family owned industrial group founded 1946, specializing in complex lifting and handling systems for the aluminum, nuclear, aerospace, offshore, and other heavy industries, in Europe as well as all over the world.
In the aluminum business, one focus of our activities is in the area of development, planning, delivery and assembly of individual machines through to turnkey plants in the area of anode plants, rod shops, crushing plants and a wide variety of surrounding conveyer and storage facilities for the production and handling of anodes, which are required by our mainly international customers for the production of primary aluminum.
To strengthen our international Sales Team within the Division Aluminium, we are looking for a
Senior Sales/Business Development Manager (m/f/d)
In this position you meet with existing and potential customers of primary and secondary aluminum smelters and seek out opportunities, promote our products and solution capabilities. The position requires senior level sales experience in an international environment and can be based at either Burlington/Canada, Cologne/Germany or Dubai/UAE.
Tasks:
- Support the Business Unit and associated market areas in their solution and offering development
- Development of global order intake, sales plans and budgets in co-operation with a team, observe and analyze international market and competitive situation and derive and implement market strategies
- Responsibility for direct sales activities to existing and new clients related to fulfill the business plan
- Leading negotiations from initial contact through to final contract drafting to signing complex business deals globally. It includes making the entire commercial quotations.
- Marketing and attendance at Trade Shows
- Execute a culture of proactive customer contact and relationship management
- New business development offerings, including collaborations with other Business Units and/or seeking out new product and solution opportunities
- Proposal management and cost estimation review
- Support commercial and legal department with closing of terms and conditions on complex contracts
Your Profile:
- Academic diploma/degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical process engineering or similar education with hands on problem solving skills in an industrial environment.
- Several years of process/design engineering and sales experience in an international environment, preferably in mechanical processes with knowledge of the primary Aluminium industry
- Experience in developing business and a demonstration of a successful track record in a dynamic sales environment and understanding of project management and ideally background in both, Capex and Service business
- Possessing a strong work ethic and enthusiastic about high-level and complex technology solutions in process and all kinds of engineering
- Proven ability to deliver against targets and driving new business
- Willingness to worldwide travelling
- First class communication (fluent English) and relationship management skills
- Live a performance driven culture with an emphasis on shareholder-value, integrity, teamwork and enterprise
- Excellent skills in negotiation and conclusion of contracts
